Date Night in Moore County, NC

Scott’s Table
Scott’s Table in Southern Pines, NC is relatively new to the area. The service is great, and the food is delicious. They try to use locally sourced items whenever possible, and you can taste the freshness in every meal. They have a full bar and great specialty cocktails (“after dinner drinks” and “after dinner drinks with a kick”) for those who like a drink with their meal.
Maguro Hibachi Steakhouse & Asian Cuisine
Maguro Hibachi Steakhouse and Asian Cuisine is the newest restaurant on this list (opened in January 2018). The restaurant set up is split between a Hibachi Steakhouse on one side with lots of stations and tables for dining on the other side. The interior is spacious with plenty of room for couples. They have a big menu with lots of options, including a huge sushi menu, so you and your date will have plenty of things to choose from.
Carolina Dining Room
A date at the Carolina Dining Room at Pinehurst Resort is sure to be a memorable one. The staff is very personable and the service is seamless. It’s a fine dining establishment, so wear your best. Choose from their seasonal menu or Putterboy Classics.
Ironwood
Ironwood in Pinehurst has a creative menu that can make date night an adventurous one. They’re known for their beef, but also they grow their own herbs and vegetables in the garden next to the restaurant. Outdoor dining is very popular in the summer on their big patio, but their interior is warm and perfect for long conversations with the right person.
Chef Warren’s Bistro
Chef Warren’s Bistro is a local favorite for special occasions and weeknight dinners. They offer a very unique tapas menu (don’t forget to try the prosciutto wrapped kangaroo!), a full dinner menu, and plenty of decadent desserts to choose from. They also have a great cocktail program, as well as a nice wine list that complements the entrees and the desserts.
After dinner, you and your date can chat and stroll through Historic Southern Pines and take in the sights and sounds of the community.
The Sly Fox Pub
The Sly Fox Pub in Southern Pines, NC is run by the same owner as Elliott’s on Linden in Pinehurst. The interior is cozy, quiet, and welcoming. In addition to a diverse menu, The Sly Fox has a great beer selection. The food is delicious, and there’s even a dessert tower for a post-meal treat.
