April 2018 Food Events in Moore County, NC

April is a busy month for food events! Here are some you won’t want to miss!

April 7: Wine in the Pines
Join the Junior League of Moore County for their annual spring fundraiser. Included in your ticket, you will get to taste wines from around the world, with hors d’oeuvre pairings, live music, a silent auction, and lawn games to play. Beer will be available for purchase from Southern Pines Brewing Company.

April 8: HomeBrew Bottling
Watch the bottling process and sample of the homebrew done on March 24th. The local homebrew club, Southern Hopheads, will be holding a club meeting at the same time with some home brew to sample.

April 10: Pedals & Pints
Join Rainbow Cycles Bike Shop for another fun ride around Southern Pines. They pull out at 6pm and ride around 5-6 miles (about 45 mins) coming back for some food & cold beers!

April 11: Flight Club at Elliotts on Linden
Battle of the Blue Grape where Team Syrah faces Team Shiraz. Team Syrah features wines from France and Washington State. Team Shiraz features wines from Australia and South Africa.

April 11: NC Bourbon and Scotch at The Sly Fox
Enjoy 3 tastes and 3 Bites, $35 per person++. Bring your cigars for the patio, weather permitting. Please call for reservations. Seating is limited.

April 14: The Produce Box Pop-Up
The Produce Box is a collaboration of small, regional farmers, specializing in produce, baked goods, jams and jellies, and more! Come enjoy produce samples and enter to win a free Produce Box!

April 15: Cousins Maine Lobster at Southern Pines Brewing Company
Head to the taproom as they host Cousins Maine Lobster! Head in for a pint and some of the most delicious lobster rolls you can find anywhere.

April 15: English Carvery at The Sly Fox
Come to The Sly Fox for Roast Beef, Roasted Potatoes Mashed Potatoes with Roasted Carrots and Parsnips, Yorkshire Puddings, Horseradish and Gravy.

April 17: Adulting 101: Flights and Finance
Join The Sway on Tax Day, in the old press room of The Pilot newspaper, for flights of beer and financial strategies that will help you take control of your cash and assets.

April 17: Chef Behind the Bar Mixology
Taste the magic of chef driven cocktails that defy the rules for food and drink. Enjoy 3 Bites, 3 Mixes, $20 per person++. Please call for reservations. Seating is limited.

April 25: Sandhills Children’s Center Sip & Sample
Sip a fantastic collection of wines provided by Mutual Distributing Company, and sample delicious appetizers from the finest chefs and restaurants in the Sandhills.
