Located in the Holly Inn at Pinehurst Resort, the 1895 Grille is the place to go if you want to treat yourself to a 4-star dining experience. They have a great wine list, and the chefs pay special attention to every meal they make to ensure that it’s delicious.

The staff is attentive and friendly. Garwayne made sure the wine was decanted and that our glasses were filled. There’s a lot to choose from on their menu, but we had the black bass and lamb. For dessert, the house special was a triple chocolate souffle, and we added a coffee and chocolate.

The 1895 Grille is a popular dining destination, so reservations are suggested. Since this is a fine dining establishment, there’s a business casual dress code (collared shirt, casual slacks or denim. No flip-flops, tennis shoes, shorts, or hats).

We really enjoyed our visit. It was the perfect place for a date night or special occasion, and hopefully we’ll be back soon!
