Here are several fun events happening in the area this month where you can celebrate the holiday season.

December 9: Santa at Pizza Café
Take a break from your holiday shopping or events and grab a bite to eat with Santa at Pizza Cafe!

December 13: Help Pack Bags at Dugan’s Pub
Help stuff 1,150 bags for Back Pack Kids of Moore County at Dugan’s Pub. Each child is getting individual cereals, peanut butter crackers, raisins, apple, orange, holiday pencils, crayons, coloring book, candy canes and candy. This is their 10th year providing extra food, school supplies, and holiday treats for the kids at Christmas.

December 13: Christmas Beer Tasting at The Sly Fox
Enjoy 3 Christmas Beers & 3 Yuletide Bites at The Sly Fox! $20 per person++. Please call for reservations. Seating is Limited.

December 14: The Evolution of Bourbon II – A Bourbon Tasting
The Deuce welcomes bourbon ambassador Jason Bradley back for the second edition of their popular Evolution of Bourbon tasting series. Each of the specialty bourbons will be tasted alone and with a small drink sample alongside deliciously creative “sliders.”

December 15: Steak Night at Pine Crest Inn
Enjoy a special Mid-Holiday Season Steak Night from Chef Lyndel at Pine Crest Inn. Reservations can be made by calling 910-295-6121.

December 16: French Wine Tasting
Try a few select French wines presented by Grapevine. No tasting fee!

December 16: Santa at the Pik-N-Pig
Santa is stopping by the Pik-N-Pig! Make sure to get there early because they had over 600 people show up last year. Bring at least one item to donate to the local community. (Toys for those who might not otherwise receive any, home goods and canned goods.)

December 17: 3rd Annual “Day Drinking for Doggies”
Guest bartender Emily Boles will be donating her tips to Solutions for Animals (a non-profit, no-kill, volunteer-based animal shelter) for the holidays. From pigs, horses, goats, chickens, and dogs, this place is amazing. Stop by from 1pm-7pm on Sunday for cocktails, food, and pet portraits from 1pm – 3pm.

December 24: Christmas Eve Dinner at Pine Crest Inn

December 25: Christmas Dinner at Pine Crest Inn
