Summer is right around the corner, and Moore County has so many events that will keep you and your family busy! (Don’t forget to register early for Father’ Day brunch!)

Here are some of the events happening around the county this month. Let us know which ones you plan to attend in the comments!

June 5, 12, 19, 26: Prime Rib Tuesdays at The Bell Tree Tavern
Enjoy 12 oz Prime Rib with baked sweet potato or mashed potatoes, corn and horseradish cream sauce. Held every Tuesday in June.

June 6, 13, 20, 27: Tour of France at The Sly Fox
Embark on a Culinary Tour of France every Wednesday in June. Featuring Appetizers and Entrees from 4 regions of France. Touring Champagne on the 6th, Burgundy on the 13th, Brittany on the 20th, and Bordeaux on the 27th. Attend all 4 events and receive a $25 Gift Card.

June 12: Pedals & Pints
Take a fun ride around Southern Pines with other bike lovers. They pull out at 6pm and ride around 5-6 miles (about 45 mins). Afterwards, reward yourself with a cold one & some food.

June 12: Single Malt Scotch Tasting at The Sly Fox
Taste three 21 year old single malts paired with 3 bites. $40 per person++. Be sure to bring your favorite cigar of choice. Please call for reservations.

June 13: Flight Club at Elliotts on Linden
Flight Club at Elliotts: Battle across the Andes! Chile vs. Argentina. Flights of 4 with Charcuterie, $25 per person++. Please call for reservations. Seating is limited.

June 15: Nine and Dine
Shotgun start off the first 9 holes followed by Steve’s special BBQ with all the fixins’ in the Ross Room (golf clubhouse). Limited to the first 44 to sign up. Make your own foursome or just join in!

June 17: Beer 101
Mike Thomas will be leading a Beer 101 class out of the Southern Pines Brewing taproom. The brewery will be closed to outside business, so the class will have exclusive access to the taproom throughout the event. Sit around the bar with beer as Mike explains styles, passes around ingredients like grain and hops, and even does a cheese pairing with one of the beers.

June 17: Father’s Day Brunch at Scott’s Table
Make your reservation for Father’s Day brunch today! Open from 11 am to 3 pm.

June 17: Father’s Day Brunch at The Leadmine
Celebrate fathers and Father’s Day at The Leadmine! $39++ Brunch Buffet & bottomless mimosa/screwdrivers. There will be vegan and vegetarian options available. Reservations highly recommended.

June 19: German Night at Pine Crest Inn, Pinehurst, NC
This is a very popular night at Pine Crest Inn, so make your reservations early.

June 20: Paint & Sip at Char Bar No. 7
Embrace your artistic side at a paint night at Char Bar No. 7 and enjoy half off bottles of wine.

June 21: Dining Out at Heartwood (Longleaf Golf & Family Club) with Newcomers of the Pinehurst Area
Join the Newcomers of the Pinehurst Area for an evening at Heartwood at Longleaf for a buffet dinner. We will kick off the evening on the patio at 6pm, where cocktails will be available for purchase. The buffet will open at 6:30.

June 21: Farmers on the Green – A Taste of North Carolina
North Carolina food is expertly prepared by Mark Elliott of Elliotts on Linden in this special Library event. Representation by local farmers as well. Tickets are $80 (includes tax and 1 drink ticket) and can be bought at Tufts Archives.

June 23: Summer Sippers Wine Tasting
Sample from 15 hand-picked wines perfect for enjoying under the sun on the beach, boat or at a barbecue. Chef Ryan will serve small bites to complement the wines.

June 24: Cousins Maine Lobster at Southern Pines Brewing Company
Head to the Southern Pines Brewing Company taproom as they host Cousins Maine Lobster. Grab a pint and some of the most delicious lobster rolls you can find anywhere!

June 28: Celebrating June’s Full Strawberry Moon at Full Moon Oyster Bar & Seafood Restaurant
Celebrate June’s Full Strawberry Moon by indulging in a Super Moon Platter for two, which includes snow crab legs, fresh oysters, shrimp, mussels, clams, scallops, and King Crab!

June 28: Pink Pig BBQ & Shrimp Food Truck at Southern Pines Brewing Company
Head down to the Southern Pines Brewing Company for some great food from Pink Pig BBQ & Shrimp!

June 29: Cooking with Carmela at Black Rock Vineyards
Watch Chef Carmela demonstrate how to create three delicious dishes that focus on using summer fruit and tomatoes. Your ticket includes the demonstration, a sample of each dish, recipe packet, and a glass of wine!
