Southern Whey in Southern Pines, NC is great place to pick up farm-to-table food and a source of food products and cheese from around the world. This corner store gem also has in-store dining, so you can grab a bite before or after you shop.
When we went, we were in the mood for grilled cheese and tried the daily special: Beer Cheese and Salami & Canadian Bacon and Pepper Jelly. We also ordered The Dude with 2 cheeses and prosciutto. Both were very savory and filling.

I’m very excited about visiting Southern Whey. My wife and I just moved here and are snuggling into our new home. We haven’t yet explored our surroundings but S.W. is high on our “must do.”
