The Bakehouse and Cafe in Aberdeen, NC is a family-owned fifth generation bakery with Austrian and Spanish Roots that serves breakfast, lunch, and baked goods made fresh on the premises. The owners are extremely friendly and always welcome you and are busy making sure everything runs smoothly. You can order the baked goods and pastries to-go or enjoy them at the bakery.
In addition to pastries and their cafe selections, The Bakehouse also takes custom orders for wedding cakes (or cakes for other special occasions). If you just want a regular cake, try their delicious German chocolate cake.
When we went, we ordered the Barcelona burger and the chicken special. There was a distinct Spanish Catalonia influence and the spices reminded us of Southern Spain, which is nice to be able to experience in Aberdeen. We will definitely be back!
