Moore County, NC is home to quite a few grocery stores.  Hungry shoppers can stop at Food Lion, ALDI, Harris Teeter, and Lowes, but there are some items that can be a little challenging to find at a traditional supermarket. Thankfully, there are a few alternative grocery stores where patrons can pick up natural, hard-to-find items on their shopping lists.

Nature’s Own was the first organic, natural food market in the Southern Pines area. They offer a wide variety of products, including organic produce, dairy, meats, gluten-free foods, grains, locally-grown products, prepared health foods, hard-to-find herbs and spices, and nutritional and herbal supplements. The staff is extremely friendly and can help you find anything in the store, and if they don’t have it, they’ll special order it. They also have a Juice Bar where you can snag organic fruit and/or vegetable juices and organic fruit smoothies.

While not technically a grocery store, the Moore County Farmer’s Market is an excellent place to get locally-grown produce and handmade goods from local crafters.  The market is open year round from 9AM – 1PM, so you can get fresh, seasonal produce that you might have a hard time finding other places.
