The Bell Tree Tavern is a locally-owned sports bar right in the heart of downtown Southern Pines. The location is perfect — shop for a while and then take a break to eat, all without having to get in your car. It does get pretty crowded when there’s a sporting event on, but they’re open for both lunch and dinner so you can head over early if you want to beat the crowds. The shrimp & grits and their whole pod fried okra are two personal favorites, and their wings and burgers are delicious.
